Visualizing the tsunami

A lot of science and computing goes into predicting and preparing for tsunamis.  With that in mind, we scoured the web for videos which could tell us more about where science, computing, and this natural disaster meet.

Above, you'll find a narrated video of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's modeling of the recent tsunami. The model displayed there was created in part using data from the DART system, which you can learn more about by watching this video.
