This week, developers and researchers will gather for the EGI Community Forum 2012, that will take place at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) in Garching near Munich, Germany, between the 26 and 30 March 2012.

The goal of the Community Forum is to showcase the role that the European Grid Infrastructure plays in enabling innovation in European research, through distributed computing. The forum will highlight the services, technologies, and tools available to scientific communities to better support their research.

The Community Forum is being held in conjunction with the 2nd EMI Technical Conferenceand co-located with the 2nd Annual European Globus Community Forum.

Various communities, experiments, and projects will present at the conference including the ATLAS and CMS experiments from CERN, the BioVeL project, the CHAIN project, the Cherenkov Telescope Array, EMI, the ESFRI projects, GISELA, PRACE, the WeNMR project, and more.

ISGTW’s science writer, Adrian Giordani, will be at the EGI Community Forum 2012. Feel free to discuss with or send any story ideas to him.

The e-Science Talk project will also be blogging live from the event, with a team of bloggers, so you won’t miss out. Follow the GridCast blog or live event updates on Twitter with #egicf12 to keep up to date with the action.
