iSGTW goes to SC11

Next week, 12-18 November, thousands of people will descend upon Washington Square in Seattle to attend the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis — better known as SuperComputing 2011, or simply SC11.

"Data intensive science is impacting all fields of study, and SC11 will focus on the challenges and opportunities for addressing the exponential growth and demands in the generation and analysis of data," according to their website.

As usual, there are lots of exciting events planned for the week long computing extravaganza. A few highlights beyond the keynotes and invited speakers include:

• An opportunity to try your hand at the Jeopardy! challenge with IBM's Wilson
• HPC use at Dreamworks
• A presentation on the D-Wave One quantum processor
• A chance to check out iSGTW's awesome poster, featured above, in person, by visiting the Fermilab or EGI booths.
