Registration is still open for this week’s EU-IndiaGrid Conference, which will be held 13-14 December in conjunction with eScience 2007.

The conference is subtitled “Paving the Ground for a Grid-enabled e-Science Community” and will showcase the benefits of the EU-IndiaGrid infrastructure.

The conference program includes sessions dedicated to bio-informatics, industrial applications of grids, interoperability and certification authority, and EU-worldwide grid projects, with a view to international co-operation for technology development.

The conference aims to facilitate grid adoption across different scientific domains, and to support knowledge-sharing and co-operation across frontiers. It also aims to foster sustainability and act as a catalyst for the deployment of current and new applications.

The conference targets the international eScience community, including

• developers and users of e-Science applications  
• enabling IT technologies from leading interdisciplinary research communities
• the IT business community
• anyone interested in current and future developments in this area.
