Announcement of the week - iSGTW goes interactive at SuperComputing 2009

With approximately 11 000 people in attendance, SuperComputing 2009 is the place to be 14-20 November. In fact, there’s so much going on that even those who are in attendance couldn’t possibly see or do everything.

That’s why we’re setting up SC09@iSGTW, your one-stop site for information on SuperComputing 2009. People who want to follow the conference from home will have access to our Twitter feed and blog posts via SC09@iSGTW. For those who are attending the event, we’ll have a schedule of the hottest events – including opportunities to interact with iSGTW staff and partners.

SC09@iSGTW will go live on 14 November. In the meantime, here’s an advance look at what we have in store for you:

  • Follow our team Twitter account, @isgtw, for pint-sized live updates on the conference.
  • Whether you use Twitter or not, you can follow our updates during major conference hours using our live console.
  • Keep up with SC09 blogs, courtesy of our partners at GridCast.
  • Learn about the challenges of communicating computational science to the general public at a panel that will include iSGTW editor Miriam Boon, Wednesday, 18 November from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in room E147-148.
  • Drop by the Fermilab booth for iSGTW office hours, and meet our US Editor, Miriam Boon. (And don't forget to drop by the EGEE booth as well, to learn more about grid computing in Europe!)
  • Consult our SC09 schedule for a short list of the best computational science programming and events.

Would you like to nominate a twitterer, blogger or scheduled event for inclusion in SC09@iSGTW? Tell us all about it in an email!
