EGI-InSPIRE, e-ScienceTalk, EUMedGridSupport and EUIndiaGrid will have a joint booth regarding the use of computing to study climate change, at ICT2010 in Brussels, Belgium, from 27-29 September. The joint stand work will highlight the global e-Infrastructure landscape and showcase major achievements, success stories and future perspectives from around the world. This includes activities of past and future projects such as EELA, EUAsiaGrid, SEE-GRID-SCI, GISELA and CHAIN with emphasis on the synergy among network, grids, high performance computing and data repositories, and their impact on large scale applications and collaborative research. From physics to climate change, shared distributed computing provides a powerful resource helping scientists worldwide to deliver the latest cutting-edge research and to meet some of the grand challenges being faced by society at-large today. International collaborative research is dependent on the successful development of e-Infrastructures that can connect scientists around the world and lead to far-reaching developments having a huge impact on citizens globally. The booth will be in the International village, located in Zone D, at D05. |
