Each week the World Community Grid, a volunteer computing project, receives about 1,000 years of run time from its members for grid-based humanitarian research. Researchers from around the world benefit from the World Community Grid, a philanthropic project run by IBM. Some of the projects running currently include genomic comparison, protein folding studies and HIV/AIDS, Dengue Fever and Muscular Dystrophy research.
