Announcement: Digital Libraries for Grid Computing Training
|

Current grid computing training activities are predominantly delivered through scheduled events at distributed locations. While these events are essential, they represent only one means for delivering training. The e-Learning pilot at the UKÂ’s National e-Science Centre for the EGEE and ICEAGE projects has developed a range of new digital library beta services to facilitate wider access to existing training resources and to underpin forthcoming e-learning services. The libraries contain collections of materials about grid computing curated by the NeSC training team and partners from the EGEE and ICEAGE projects. The materials include articles, books, video and audio clips, tutorials, Web pages and presentations from training events and summer schools. You can search or browse the libraries to discover resources, or to share your comments and resources by creating new entries and uploading materials. Registration is not necessary to browse or search the library and download materials. To create new objects, you will need to log in with a digital certificate from one of the existing grid computing certificate authorities. With a certificate, you can review and edit metadata of existing resources. RSS channels are available for you to keep up with the latest library additions and to upload or download podcasts. |
