Announcement - TNC2011 call for papers – Enabling Communities

TERENA (Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association) is inviting submissions for the Networking Conference 2011 (TNC2011). Extended abstracts of 600 – 1200 words can be submitted via the drop box until 30 November 2010. The theme of TNC2011 is ‘Enabling Communities’. The conference will be held from 16 - 19 May 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic. It will be organized by TERENA and hosted by the Czech National Research and Education Network (CESNET).

TNC2011 is a European networking meeting place, bringing together networking communities from universities and NRENs (National Research and Education Networks). Their aim is to showcase European and global collaboration, as well as global developments, current challenges and recent results. These include:

  • FUTURE NETWORKS: network technology, network management, control planes, virtual networks, future networks, bandwidth on demand and network architectures.
  • COMMUNITIES & IDENTITIES: virtual organization & collaborations, e-science ecosystems, future research communities, future classrooms, student communities, identity management, reshaping collaboration, teaching and learning communities.
  • SUPPORTING COLLABORATION: real-time collaboration, access everywhere and collaboration beyond academic boundaries.
  • ADVANCED APPLICATIONS & SERVICES: advanced media, location-aware services, grids & clouds, storage and databases, advanced and demanding applications.
  • DIGITAL LIFESTYLE: social considerations, privacy, security challenges, Internet governance & social media.

To select the papers/abstracts for presentation at the TNC2011, all submitted papers/abstracts will go through three comprehensive reviews: (1) double-blind (at least three reviewers), (2) non-blind and (3) participative peer reviews. Authors will receive the result of their evaluations by the reviewers of their papers/abstracts.
