Announcement - iSGTW’s new look

You may have noticed some changes in this week’s issue, in an effort to update the publication and make it even more user-friendly.

We used your feedback from our reader surveys, emails and one-on-one comments, to help us decide where to add some new items to iSGTW, how to change some others, and rearrange still more in a more useful and streamlined order. (Virtually nothing has been removed. So, you can still find your favorite story in our ‘Archive,’ for example.)

A few highlights include:

• the ‘Resources’ section has been divided up into two new tabs, headed ‘Learn’ and ‘Interact.’  The ‘Learn’ section starts with a basic introduction and a glossary, and becomes increasingly more detailed and in-depth as you move down. ‘Interact’ tells how to contact us, subscribe,  contribute to iSGTW, and network with your colleagues.

• there is now a ‘Press Room’ that contains posters, slides, fact sheets, media releases, logos and grid briefings.

• one other new feature in our ‘Press Room’ is an ‘Image Gallery’ of a few of our favorite illustrations which have appeared in these pages. Check ’em out!

• we also have a completely revamped and updated ‘Directory,’ which contains in one place all the items that used to be in ‘Links’ and in ‘Grids in the spotlight,’ among other places.

• a new, more graphic format to our ‘Calendar has been put into place, using Google Calendar

There’s more, but the best way to discover everything is to start exploring!

And be sure to give us your feedback, either by contacting the editors directly or logging on to our iSGTW social networking sites on Facebook and on the Nature Networks Forum.
