The human immunodeficiency virus has killed more than 25 million people since it was identified in 1981.

Human immunodeficiency virus is a highly mutable virus with more than 1.2 million recorded mutations and over 40,000 phenotypes.

Taking anti-HIV drugs in combination can reduce the chance of developing drug-resistant HIV strains. But which combination works best, and for whom?

ViroLab is stepping up to provide grid-based decision support for physicians answering these questions, in the form of a collaborative virtual laboratory.
