Feature - A conversation with TeraGrid’s Dane Skow

Dane Skow, new director of TeraGrid’s Grid Infrastructure Group, tells iSGTW what keeps the smile on his face.

At last week’s TeraGrid '07 conference iSGTW sat down with the new director of TeraGrid’s Grid Infrastructure Group, Dane Skow, to discuss the current state of the project and his hopes for its future.

In this interview, Skow reviews TeraGrid’s recent and approaching milestones, including the success of the Science Gateways as a path for researchers accessing TeraGrid, and the expected doubling of TeraGrid’s computing resources by early next year.

Skow also shares his vision for TeraGrid’s future, a future which includes increased collaboration and interoperability with partner grids in the U.S. and beyond. And find out what keeps Skow so excited about his job.
